Legende.ai is a French startup dedicated to helping families preserve the life stories of their elders. Their mission is to make memoir creation effortless for seniors, without typing or complex interfaces, just natural conversation.

Partnering with Plus8Soft, Legende.ai developed a fully self-service voice storytelling platform. An elderly storyteller pairs her own iPad via SMS or WhatsApp OTP, records answers to gently adaptive questions, and the AI pipeline transcribes, refines, and assembles her spoken memories into polished literary chapters on a multi-chapter bookshelf. Interviews end on meaning rather than arbitrary limits: an AI judge determines when a chapter has enough material, with depth gating that ramps question intimacy gradually. The platform supports French, English, and Russian, transcribes speech in any language, and delivers finished chapters as formatted prose with photo support.

We built a complete voice-first platform that turns spoken conversation into a finished chapter of a family book. By pairing a distraction-free iPad app with an AI that knows how to listen, ask, and recognize when a story is complete, we created a system seniors can use entirely on their own, in whatever language feels natural to them. The result is a self-service storytelling experience that needs no supervision, so families spend their time capturing memories, not managing technology.

Storyteller iPad App

A native iPad app built around one simple loop: record, listen back, then re-record or confirm. There are no menus to dig through and nothing to remember. Gentle pulsing animation shows when it's listening, a Library holds both in-progress transcripts and finished chapters.

An AI That Knows When a Story Is Done

Instead of cutting a conversation off after a fixed number of questions, the AI judges when a chapter has enough material to stand on its own, then moves to the next one.

Self-Service Setup, No Family Member Required

Seniors pair their own iPad with a one-time code sent by text or WhatsApp. The system also learns how to spell each storyteller's name correctly and uses it accurately in every question that follows. Deleting an account is just as simple, with a confirmation text and a clear record of consent.

Speaks Any Language, Writes in Three

Storytellers can speak in whatever language feels natural. The platform detects it automatically and delivers the finished chapters in French, English, or Russian, whichever the family chose for the book.
