AngularJS

AngularJS enhances HTML with custom elements and attributes through the use of directives and enables dynamic data binding between the model and view. Built on the Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern, it simplifies frontend logic and encourages the development of reusable components.

The framework offers features like dependency injection, two-way data binding, and client-side routing, all contributing to a smoother user experience. By allowing developers to transform static HTML into interactive web applications, AngularJS reduces the need for manual DOM manipulation. Although official support ended in 2022, AngularJS continues to be significant in the evolution of frontend development. It was particularly popular for building complex single-page applications (SPAs) and often used in the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, Node.js).

Applications built with AngularJS are created using plain JavaScript and typically include reusable services, controllers, and custom directives. While newer versions of Angular have since replaced AngularJS, many legacy systems still rely on it. Moreover, AngularJS has laid the foundation for modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, and Vue.
